One Saturday
Tomorrow is my first Saturday off work in a couple months. I was sick one Saturday but that didn't count cuz I was sick. Tomorrow is the first day of the Farmer's Market. Yea! Hope to find some good deals on plants. Friday was the beginning of the Edina Art Fair. May stop in there tomorrow, too. I really want to make it to Bungee at Betsy Back Porch for a while also, So much to do and so little time with my one Saturday.
I have bought several annuals already but you can never have too many plants in the summer. I have beautiful perennial gardens made by the former owner. I bought a lovely fern for $8.99 at Home Depot and a lovely Calla Lily in a beautiful pink. I have a couple tomato plants, basil, chives and some wave petunias, and geraniums. All of the perennial plants have come back this year, just gorgeous. I promise I will get a photo up here soon.
Josh and Ellie were over on Wednesday and helped me water everything. Josh had the hose and Ellie had the watering can. We were having such a good time and then Mom came back too soon! We hadn't played enough and it was already time to go.
I found a very cute pattern for Old World Booties on www.knittingdaily.com - it will only be available for a very short time. They are felted and soooooo cute!
I love this nice cool spring, just need more rain, but I love the fresh air. I'm having a new water softener and water purifier put in next week from Commers. I really need it. The water out here is very smelly, lots of chlorine, so I need to get a good system in here. Should make a big difference in my dry skin, coffee and washing machine.
I found out that when they hooked up the new hot water heater, they goofed and made the soft water go to the outside, which means I've been watering my plants with soft water.
Had some great rain this evening - the last day of the month. We really needed this rain. Mosquitos are already bad though. What's up with that?
I have such a todo list: Clean windows, scrape and repaint some windows. Repaint hallway, clean garage, organize garage, plant the rest of my flowers, finish my elf house, sand the picnic table, re-seed the front yard where I sprayed weed killer on the dandelions and also killed the lawn (smart???)., repaint Dan's bedroom that will now become a guest room for when he comes home to visit, restain wood in the kitchen, hang swings for the grandchildren, and the list goes on.
Well, I have all summer, right?
