Logan's Birthday weekend

Logan will be ONE this week! Sandy will be here tomorrow night and we will have three fun filled days. I hope she's ready for it

I finished the room today. Moved all the furniture back into the room, washed the floors, etc, etc

This morning I got a haircut, then met Nicole and children at the Shakopee Library, which is very nice, by the way. The children Picked out a gazillion books, then headed to a new park by the new Shakopee High School. It has some very different equipment that I haven't seen before. A couple climbers that were quite a challenge for even the 8 and 9 year olds that were there and some spinning seats that work with centrifigul force. Josh loved them.!

Josh and Ellie were over last weekend and we decided to see if we'd all fit in my bed if they ever slept over. We decided it wouldn't be a SLEEP over but an allnightstayupper! We ended with a pillow fight and had a great few giggles.

Trying out the spinning wheel. Josh figures if you put the ball of fiber up there it will just go onto the bobbin. Ellie is in charge of spinning the wheel. No foot action, imagine that.

IN THE GAREN:

Josh loves to water all of my plants when he is here - he's watering the birdbath and Cally is drinking as fast as he's filling it. Cally has never done this before! She loves having the kids here. Like my new grill - haven't used it yet.

I sure love my yard. I had a new visitor last night-this pigeon was strutting around the yard, unafraid until I got the camera -then he hit the roof. Hopefully he'll return.

Well, as you can see, I've been loafing off for a few weeks. I am so bushed by the time work is over that I don't have much energy left. My big project, painting the room upstairs, getting a bed up there, was HUGE! I love it and will get a photo up soon. I have alot left to decorate but for now it's cute!

I have to get working on Fall projects pretty soon. I may be teaching knitting again this Fall. Keep you posted. I wish there were more hours and more days in the week.

What a Day for a Day dream.....

Summer Boquet - the hydrangea bushes are in bloom along with the lillies and daisies and hostas.

This is some Lavender I bought at home depot and keep in the house.

Surprise! This package arrived in the mail a couple weeks ago from Ironstone Yarns and Fiesta. I love both of these companies and hope to be able to sell this yarn via my website. If you visit their website and want to order, just give me a call and I can get it for you. http://www.7dimes.com/ is the website. They purchased Fiesta Yarns in 2001 and recently purchased Ironstone Yarns. Brad actually came out to my house for a visit last Wednesday. They have a great company in Albuquerque, NM and I'm so happy to do business with them. If you want to touch and feel, you'll have to come over to Carver!

Look at the deal I got at HD this week. They clearanced their area rugs for $5 - it is perfect for my colors in the house. They were supposed to have a hole cut out of them but this one just had a sticker that I can remove with steam (my scuunci).

Went out to dinner at the Victoria House the other night - love their salmon salad. Returning to Carver there was a vintage car show going on. We walked through town reminiscing about all the cars we'd had, our friends had had, etc. Returning to the car we looked up and eight Pelicans flew over head, two by two, in a beautiful blue sky with white clouds and I had no camera.
What a beautiful week for weather! Hope you got out to enjoy it.

It's raining, a little

My friend Kathy wants me to make her granddaughter one of these sheepy felted sweaters. I have started crafting again. I'm working on Ellie's pink dress - over half done. I dug out two unfinished sweaters I started for her last Fall. They were going to be large sizes so I didn't hurry to finish them, but they are out of Karabella merino which I have been itching to get back to after knitting on this cotton for so long, so I will finish them now for this Fall.

I'm also making library bags for Ellie and Josh. One will be a Nemo theme and one a Princess theme. I'll show photos as I construct them. I made their mother one when she was very little and it has lasted 30 years. Either we didn't continue going to the library that much or she gave up using it at some point, because it's practically like new. Other thought would be that they lasted so long because of the great fabric I chose and the great workmanship, who knows?? At any rate these two wee ones want their own.

I baby sat Sun night over night with the three of the grandchildren so their parents could have an anniversary weekend. We had a great time but Logan is on the move so it was a little busier for Nanna. At one point, I lost track of him, he's so fast, and I asked out loud, " where's Logan?" and Josh shouted, "Oh, no, he's in the toilet". Panic, well he wasn't in it, he was getting positioned for it. Logan went to bed at 6:30, the other two at 7:30 pm, then Ellie's back up again to go "Poopy" and Josh to go "pee". Then back to bed, then Ellie's up again about 8:00 Pm to go "poopy" AGAIN!. She really does go, so I have to allow it.

Back to bed again. About 8:30 PM, Ellie again, needs her water filled up. Finally collapse on the couch and fall asleep. Wake up at 9:30 - decide to go up to bed. Fell asleep until 12:30 Pm, Logan up for a bottle (he's teething). Back to bed, cat on the bed, on my legs, kick her off, back to sleep until 2:30, Logan up again, change diaper, give another 4 oz. of bottle. Back to bed until 6 PM when Josh is up for the Day. I'm tired just typing this, needless to say, I came home at noon and fell asleep reading my realestate at 2:00pm. Hope I sleep tonight.

My sister called to say she was back from New Mexico. She had driven to her property last week and on the way she stopped for gas. Left the truck running and ran into gas station, it was raining, thunder and lightening, ran back to truck and found the dogs had locked her out of the truck. Two men and 2 1/2 hours later she got the truck unlocked and was on her way. Got home about 10 PM, picked up a pizza on the way for a later dinner, jumped out of the truck to open the gate to her property and guess what??? Yep, they at the pizza. Hungry to bed, bad karma.

Yea, it's a nice soaking rain outside right now. Hope it keeps up all night long.
