Feels like March

Feels like March today but it's Feb. 16th.  I love this winter!  It has helped me stay sane - being able to walk without falling down, drive without sliding into the next lane or car, going outside without freezing the minute you hit the sidewalk, tolerating the cold car cuz it heats up quickly, not having to shovel, saving on heating bills and just feels great out there!

I interviewed with a new agency today in Shakopee - Valley staffing.  I really liked them alot, very professional, friendly, upbeat and may have something temporary for me next week.  Yea!

I tried to walk outside today but the wind was really quite cold until it was on my back.  I didn't walk far and thought I'd go to the club but my son came over after his interview and had lunch.  Then it was time to watch the granchildren while their folks went to conferences.  I found a cute story on my kindle for them and it quieted things down for awhile.  They were a bit rambunctious tonight.  I finally got the lap loom warped for Josh so he can work on his blue blanket.  I don't do much weaving so it always takes me awhile to get it warped again.

Babysit Logan in the morning and then go to the club!

Feb. 15th

Had a great Valentines Day with Logan - had lunch - stopped at the library for a movie, made valentines for his school and just enjoyed the day together.  He's having a new brother or sister so I asked him what names he would choose - Luigi if it's a boy or  Mario (his favorite characters right now) or Princess if it's a girl!   I don't think it will be any of those!

I'm working on a shawl pattern right now that Julie from Bungee wore one Saturday - it's one that you can sort of create on your own but I loved the idea.  The original came from Ravelry "Textured Shawl Recipe" by Orlane.  Very attractive.

I'm also working on some cute crocheted cupcakes from Garn Studio free patterns for Ellie's room.

In the last year I have had two jobs, one at an appraiser's office and one at an insurance office.  Both seemed very promising at first and turned into disasters leaving me feeling quite inept at doing any kind of customer service job.  So, I am searching again, hoping to gain some confidence along the way this week.

Having dinner with friends this evening - pasta and wine fixes everything and good friends!

while I have some time off I'm trying to organize my files and get a few projects done around here that have been left alone too long.

I have started working out again which feels fabulous but now I have to give up my membership due to the job situation but I have until April 1st so hopefully the weather will be nice again by that time so I can walk outside.

Nicole is pregnant with #4 and due in September - very excited.
New knitting projects are running around in my head!
